Well in the past week I have been visiting the beach frequently and discovering some cool people during the course of spring break. Its been a very fun spring break, though a couple events have certainly have took me for a spin.
As for my personal accesories I generally grab whatever the hell I see lying on my floor and think my spoof me up, or in all cases I simply just want to wear it. Apparently my open minded idea of dressing myself is a problem for many "gang related groups".
Accessories I use at all times are a multitude of colors of bandanas hanging from my pocket and bracelets, that is about it. Though with the bandanna I figured there would be some people questioning gang affiliation, though seeing as most people know me as that "kid that doesnt really fight because he punches like a 12 year old girl". Without really wanting trouble or caring I wore them anyways.
At the beach I came across a few blacks and whites, they were bunched together, my idea (typical spring breakers looking for fun) just as I was, though little did I know, they would take my Navy Blue Bandanna as a threat to their posse. They approached me and asked me "Who I rep?" and such like that, I assured them I was in no gang and had no idea of wanting trouble. We talked the issue out and continued on with our days, they were a nice bunch, just confused.
As soon as I had the idea that my trouble was over, another incident exactly like the one above happened in a store (of all places). I was once again asked my "Crew" I ONCE AGAIN assured them that I was in NO gang, nor wanting no part of being in a gang. Day over.
Now my concern is, do we no longer have freedom of what we wear and what colors they are manufactored?!
I mean, Navy Blue, yeah its a bandanna, though im sure when they were first made they didnt have the idea of "OH HEY THESE WILL BE FOR GANGS. YAY". NO NO NO, they are made for the mere fact that people wanted to make them and I want to wear them.
What are your ideas on these "Gang related clothing" are people and gangs getting overboard with the whole color dominance deal?
(Here is a picture of how I present myself out in public with a bandanna, in which you will notice in not any way it is gang related)
(PICTURES ARE HUGE!!)
