I've just started working on my first ongoing PHP project - a dictionary. It doesn't sound very exciting, but it allows users to create, modify and manage their own dictionary. Users will be able to register on different dictionaries and will then gain a profile which shows how many words they have added, their reputation, etc.

So far I have managed to add functions that allow anyone to add words and staff to delete them, as well as a live search that took a HUGE amount of time and effort to make and it allows users to search the entire dictionary for words.

I'm hoping to add small discussion boards so that users of dictionaries (Especial staff) can communicate with each other without having to exchange emails, skype, etc or leave the comfort and security of their own site.

Allowing users to add words does seem a good idea though Good job on it

Thanks. Words are now ordered alphabetically As well as being able to edit the colours of the dictionary (Background colors, link colors, font colors, etc)

I added stylesheet editing, now you can edit the structure and style of your dictionary.

I'm now working on coding the message boards. There will be 3 by default and the names, rules and permissions may be changed by the Administrators of the Dictionary.

Just need to add a posting form and add editing options to the admin panel.



I also forgot to say earlier that the ACP is almost complete, it just needs styling.


(The screen is a 350 by 500 popout and looks much better as such)
