| Hey guys, I've added some new functions to our forum! Let's start with: - Rounded Boxes - When you post a new topic or post a reply, the box is no longer square, but round
- In-page quote - When you quote a post, the quote will be added to quick reply instead of full editor.
- Popup Chatbox - If you click the "Chat" text on the right side, you'll be able to join chat on any page.
- Shining Links - When you put your mouse over a link, it'll get white shadow! Don't believe it? Test it! (May not work on older browsers)
- Glowing Chatbox It's the same effect as with links, but all messages in Chatbox glow orange
This list is highly likely to change because I'm still adding stuff... If you have any suggestions, reply to this topic |

Usernames are links, so it only appears on mouse-over. |

Yeah, that's part of the 'message' in chatbox, but for some reason, the glow disappears when a new message is posted |

| Added "hover notice" Guests will get links to login and registration page, members get link to 'Edit profile', 'Private messages' and log out. Also changed the 'Login' widget (one that had your avatar). It now says, for example: - Quote :
- Dumbledore27
Posts: 260 Time: Sun 22 Jan 2012 - 13:36 Age: 12
Edit your profile whereas guests get login link. And I had to get rid of the black bar, otherwise the hover notice wouldn't be seen... :/ Buttons "nicened", they're now round Any other ideas? |

| You should make the default avatars smaller, because Jack's avatar picture size is really huge and takes up a lot of the page |

| My ideas 1) Get rid of the yellow outline on posts and input elements in google chrome - Spoiler:
Just for posts: - Code:
-
.post { outline: none; }
For Everything: - Code:
-
input { outline: none; }
2) Ccentre the pop-out chatbox. - Spoiler:
I made the chatbox in the picture and it completely different to the one here, so I can't give you a code.
3) Either fix the spoilers or Create a custom spoiler (Not sure if they are only broken in GC) - Spoiler:
For either solution you would have to include the Jquery Script (Http://jquery.com) Spoiler Jquery - Code:
-
$(document).ready(function(){ $(".SpoilerHide").hide() $(".SpoilerShow").click(function(){ $(".SpoilerHide").show(); }); });
HTML for Spoiler - Code:
-
<p class="SpoilerShow"> Click Me To See My Content! </p> <span class="ShpolerHide"> This content will be hidden... </span>
You could use a slider instead (Code from W3school.com) Slider Jquery - Code:
-
$(document).ready(function(){ $(".flip").click(function(){ $(".panel").slideToggle("slow"); }); });
Slider CSS - Code:
-
div.panel,p.flip { margin:0px; padding:5px; text-align:center; background:#e5eecc; border:solid 1px #c3c3c3; } div.panel { height: auto; display:none; }
Slider HTML - Code:
-
<p class="flip">Show/Hide Content</p> <div class="panel"> This content is hidden </div>
You could put the P before or after the div and that would dictate where the button would go, before or after the content.
4) Add some bottom padding for posts. - Spoiler:
- Code:
-
.post { padding-bottom: 3px !important; }

| Jack: 1) Outline in posts? I only see it in text area though I got rid of it in text area. Also theme's original CSS doesn't seem to have it. 2) I'm not sure since then also the button would have to be in the centre... I'll give it a try though. 3) Forumotion screwed up the spoilers since they were broken for quite a while now... And unfortunately, we can't add custom BBCodes 4) I'll try and see how it works Thanks for the suggestions. Fiction: Sorry, not possible since I can't use PHP on it. Forumotion disallows usage of PHP, and that's probably how it should be, otherwise someone might accidentally just crash their servers The widget is a custom widget I made. Unless I activate the previous one, it can't show. And the previous one can't be modified. DJ: The new default avatar is: However it is up to the users with the default avatar to change it themselves. |

The css I gave you would need to be added to the end.
3) Forumotion screwed up the spoilers since they were broken for quite a while now... And unfortunately, we can't add custom BBCodes
The code I put in the spoiler would allow users to use a HTML spoiler, you could even add a button for it when your posting to make it easier to use. |

That can't be done uless Forumotion (our host) allows custom BBCodes. Or unless we move away from them. |

| The code used JavaScript and HTML, not BBC code. |
